Just when you think you've said all you can about Chelsea in one week,

they decide to appoint Frank Lampard as their new head coach on an interim basis.

As well as Lampard, you've got Julian Naguisman, Richard Pocitino, Antonio Conte,

and Louis Enrique all out of work and eyeing up top jobs.

But what about the manager who has won trophies and coached in the Champions League

and was one Stephen Gerard slip away from winning the Premier League title?

Lampard is back in, but why isn't Brendan Rogers considered an option by the big clubs?

Okay, the breaking news is that Frank Lampard has accepted an offer to manage Chelsea

until the end of the season.

We had been reporting, we believed he would be stepping in to take interim charge.

We understand that nothing's been discussed about Lamport staying beyond the summer.

I watched the game last night and I saw him in the crowd

and he looked like a guy that hadn't just gone there for a few drinks and a bit of a jolly-up.

He watched it in a very studious way.

And I started to think, well, maybe that might be an opportunity that they look at Frank as an option.

He's got unfinished business, obviously,

at Chelsea.
