I'm your host for today, Lamar.

And this is my co-host and really the regular host.

But today I'm going to host him.

So how about that? Every now and then he lets me on. How are you, Lamar?

I'm doing great.

Okay, so let's set up with today and jump right into it.

This is very exciting. We're now getting into the chapters of Isaiah, and this is where

some people's eyes glaze over, and they're like, oh, no, Isaiah, I understand it.

And let me talk about really quickly to set this up.

I'll talk about what I, a professor that I had at BYU,

and he referenced Isaiah like this.

And here's how he said.

He said, Isaiah has a, I wouldn't say unique, but he has a very interesting style

that sometimes Isaiah will be talking about a past event, something that might

have happened to a future, I mean a past king or a historical event, he might be relating

that to his current day, which is the people he's speaking to directly, but also relating to

the future or our day.

So he can possibly be talking about one, two, or all three of those things all at the same time.

And then he had a, again, Brother Bassett had this handout of all these things where you could see where these things went back and forth.

And he's talking about, you know, this king, but it relates to right now, you know,

like you might say, well, the past administration did this, but it's right now. But then
