I know you guys have a lot of questions, a lot of comments. A lot going on in the world of the Lakers for us to get into tonight. We've got some interesting stuff happening on the coaching

search, some weird things, kind of contradictory stuff happening. J.J. Reddick, is he going to be

the coach or not? We've got James Barago getting an interview. All kinds of things happening

there. Maybe Rajan Rondo getting into the mix. So a lot of stuff talk about there. We need to talk

about the trade front to who the Lakers could trade away from this team as

they're looking to build things out, who could stay, all sorts of stuff for us to talk about

tonight. So welcome in for those of you who are now joining the show. Appreciate all of you

being here. I know we're kind of in this weird limbo right now, aren't we? Where we're all waiting for the coaching news to come out so we can move forward with some kind of certainty. If it's going to be JJ Redick, and that's the way it feels like this is going, if it's going to be JJ Redick, okay, let's make it JJ Reddick and let's move forward. Right? But I think with the JJ Redick situation, you could be in an interesting conundrum

where he needs to cover the finals for ESPN.

And so how do you do that?

How do you not only put your coaching search kind of on pause or you just kind of hold

everything for the moment while you're still

interviewing some other candidates and things like that and then allow jj to do his thing while

you're preparing for the draft while you're preparing for free agency while the trade market is

going on there's so many different things that are going to be happening at the same time that i think

it's it's a little bit of a challenge to kind of navigate all of that at once. I do still think that when the dust settles, it's going to be JJ Redick. It's going to wind up being the Lakers head coach. But I guess let's just jump up there, since I'm already talking about it. Let's jump right into that topic. So Chris Haynes today said basically everything that he's heard is that it's going to be JJ.

It's going to be JJ Reddick, that he would be shocked if it was anyone other than JJ.

So why is this not just happening now?

And then why are we hearing from Adrian Wojnarowski that the Lakers are nowhere

close? He said they're nowhere close to hiring a coach. So why is there this buzz, this

smoke around JJ Redick becoming the head coach? Well, I do think that JJ being the frontrunner

because we've heard so many different people say it. So many people who are tuned into this stuff say that he is the front runner that I buy it.
