Hello, Lakers Nation. Welcome in to the Lakers Nation.com podcast. My name's Trevor Lane, and it's game day. Lakers Clippers 7 p.m. Pacific time tonight. The Lakers needed to get a win to even the season series. Right now, it's one, two in favor of the Clippers on the season, the fourth and final game coming up tonight. Again, 7 p.m. Pacific time. I'll be live right here on the Lakers Nationation.com YouTube channel breaking down the game doing a little play by play. Come hang out. It's like a party like I always say. At least hopefully I will be there assuming I get back from my vacation in time. We'll be cutting it a little bit close. Hopefully no flight delays or anything like that. But big game coming up tonight for the Lakers, the first game coming out of the All-Star breaks. So today I want to get into the injury report, what it's going to look like for the Los Angeles Lakers, plus what are the keys for the Lakers to get the win in this one tonight? Don't forget to hit the subscribe button. Turn on those notifications as well, lots of stuff to get into. Let's start right here with the injuries.

1:00.6

And I threw a question mark on that because right now, the injuries are actually looking pretty clean for the Lakers. If we take a look, this was JJ Redick after practice yesterday.

1:06.9

And he said that he expects everyone to be available tomorrow. That means ahead of the All-Star break, we saw Luca Donchich out of action.

1:14.3

We saw a number of players dealing with injuries and things of that nature.

1:17.9

Now it looks like everybody will be good to go.

1:20.2

Now he said Luca will probably be good.

1:22.7

Now, he did participate in the All-Star game, so we expect that.

1:25.6

But nonetheless, this is big, big news for the Lakers to almost certainly have everyone available. And that's been a big part of the problem this season for the Lakers. We talked all about the roster construction issues that they've got. There's certainly plenty of those. Having too many one-way players on the team, too much of trying to find balance between offensive players and defensive players and a litany of other issues that we've talked about, from athleticism to defensive identity and all kinds of things for this Lakers team. However, one of the big issues and maybe an underreported issue has been how injured the Lakers have been. I mean, LeBron James, Austin, Reeves, and Luca Donchageidge have barely been available at the same time this entire season. So we're now well past the halfway point. This is the home stretch now for the playoffs and the big three have barely been available at the same time this entire season. And with that in mind, it's actually somewhat remarkable that the Lakers currently are where they are in the standings as we're coming out of the All-Star break here. They're currently the five seed. Now, I am recording this prior to Thursday evening's games. So that means, number one, the official injury report is not out just yet. But number two, when we're looking at the standings, you're getting yesterday's standings. Those may shift a little bit as some of these teams are in action tonight.

2:34.8

But nonetheless, right now, as I'm recording this, the Lakers of the five seed,

2:38.6

33 and 21 is their record right now, which is fairly impressive, again, given how many injuries

2:44.9

this team has dealt with. So hopefully they do have everyone available. Brony James and a due

2:50.3

zero were both assigned to the south bay

2:52.4

lakers yesterday that could could change in terms of whether or not those two guys are available but if the

2:58.7

lakers have everybody healthy frankly adieu and brawny are probably not seeing minutes anyway so even if

3:03.9

they stay with south bay to get some extra experience there probably not a big deal if the Lakers have everybody that's ahead of them in the rotation available right now to play.

3:12.5

I'm really curious to see like what does Luca look like with a shooter out there like Luke Kinnard?

3:17.4

We haven't seen that pairing since the trade deadline.

3:20.2

We haven't seen those two guys really get on the floor and show what Kinnard's floor is facing can bring to Luca Donchich's game. Can LeBron, Austin, and Luca find chemistry together? That's something that's certainly been needed so far this season. I'm really curious to see how JJ Reddick's rotations play out as well, assuming everybody is indeed available for the Lakers tonight. And we'll talk a bit more about that in a minute when we

3:41.5

get to the keys to victory. But for right now, the good news is unless something comes out on the official injury report, which again is not out yet, sounds like the Lakers are going to have everybody available for this game. DeAndre Aton, I was in the Bahamas. I tried to find him. I tried to see if I could help out at all.

3:58.3

He may have gotten in just a smidge of trouble, but it sounds like he's a... And Andre Aiton, I was in the Bahamas. I tried to find him. I tried to see if I could help out at all.

3:58.3

He may have gotten in just a smidge of trouble, but sounds like he's okay.

4:02.8

And JJ didn't note anything about anybody not being available for the game or anything
