I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And last night, Lakers fell to one in three in the preseason with a loss to the Golden State Warriors. And D, it was the first. Preseason, you always kind of have to parse out the serious basketball

from the unsurious basketball.

And all of it has some degree of uns seriousness because there's no stakes.

But in the first halves of the other games that we played when LeBron and AD were playing

and all of that, I was fairly happy with how the starters and just the main rotation guys

performed.

But last night's game was the first time where I was like, oh, those guys got beat and they got legit beat by a Warriors team

that moved to 5 and 0 on the preseason. It looked a little different than before, but they are

sort of the godfathers of small ball defense to me and how to contain and sort of fly around and seal off the ability to get

to the basket.

And I just thought that they showed that the Lakers are very early on and at very sort of

elementary stages of what they're trying to do offensively.

So talk to me just in general what you saw from last night's game.

Yeah, I must say I was disappointed with how the team played.

And particularly with like LeBron, honestly, I thought LeBron set a tone of going through the motions to a certain extent, particularly on defense.
