We creered into the wall towards the ravine that was below.

My last clear memory of the actual accident was of the car balancing almost like a fulcrum on the edge of this bank.

I was flipped out and over the car. The car went down the ravine and I ended up with a car on top of me. I remember a guy bending

over me and he said, do you feel the Lord's with you? And I thought, you know, what sort

of a plown is this guy? You know, I feel like I'm dying. It's almost as if I heard a voice.

I don't know if it's audible, but it was very, very clear saying, I am with you always.

fantastic week where we meet one of my mates who's got a great journey that basically, if you're

new to inspired, I get sick to death of us being bombarded

relentlessly by the negativity of 24-7 news cycle that just allows someone else to curate

the bad news that's going on around the world to feed our spirits with fear and anxiety

and depression and cynicism. And what we need is good news. That's why inspired as being so fruitful.

And so week by week, we meet people from all sorts of different walks of life that have seen God at work that have come, you know, overcome heavy stuff in their lives. And I've got no doubt they're going to be inspired this week because we got with us Kelvin Burke. Welcome, Kelvin. Thank you. Thank you for your warm welcome. So Kelvin, I'm talking to you on the Isle of White. You were the lead hospital chaplain there and are now retired, but extremely active. You're the author of the powerful and moving book Lake of Tears that's hot for the press. So we're talking about that. You're a long-time supporter with your wife, Jenny. sparring story. I want you to tell it, me to zip it. So let's go back to the early years.

What were your early years like?

Well, as you'll tell from the accent, I grew up in Northern Ireland.

And so my early years was in peaceful times in Ulster.

I think that's often not spoken about because the trouble seems to take the headlines. But I grew up in the 60s and my memories are of peaceful times and, you know,

the great times of the countryside was on a playground and brought up on a Christian home.

My mom and dad were Christians and they always taught me to make my own way that I had to make
