Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson, as always. I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here in the wee hours of Maroon Friday. I'm actually wearing Maroon now.

It's 1212 and I'm wearing Maroon. Just turned 1213. I'm still wearing maroon. I don't know what I'll wear the rest of the day.

Eventually I'm going to go to bed here.

But wanted to get this show up and kind of get it done.

Got a busy day on Friday.

Working through some things, as you guys know,

kind of finishing up the poetry book.

But, you know, got some personal things I've got to take care of.

And then on Saturday night,

I'm going to be in an undisclosed location

with a couple of good friends raising our goblets

to the gods of rock.

First time I've been to a rock show

since before the quarantine.

Just hadn't done it.

I mean, it's one of those things, man.

It's usually I go to, I don't know, 10, 12 shows a year,

and some years more than that.

You know, but for a long time, they didn't have live music, which is understandable.

It stinks, but they didn't have it.

And then I was going to go to the fairgrounds when you guys went to see Great White and Slaughter. However, I had two book signings on back-to-bag days in South Mississippi, and I just couldn't pull it together. I had some friends that went. I had a great time. I would have loved to go on too. And it's not just about the music, even though, you know, the music is what brings us together. It's one of those deals, man, where it's just kind of reconnecting with the mothership a little bit.

You know, kind of blending in with the tribe again, kind of reminding you that you're not so weird.
