Here's this scary story.

When I first arrived to the house rental,

I was amazed by how close the river was to the house.

The river surrounded by tall trees was something out of the scene of a book,

and I gladly accepted to take up the empty room in the house.

It was one thing I should have paid attention to, though.

I asked Bill, the owner of the house, about the food.

He was one of those regular expats, you know,

people who leave their country to settle down somewhere else.

It's a big, either retired workers looking for something a little more peaceful as they get older.

Bill fit the description perfectly.

A man from Australia who bought a house to live in, and another house to rent.

Both very next to each other.

He told me that there was an outdoor food market nearby,

a short walk along the river.

That there was a good chicken place around the corner.

That was all there was.
