If you travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, you can expect a number of things.

To hear tango music ringing through the streets.

To eat excellent assados, or barbecue meat.

And to hear an accent that is unique to the region.

They pronounce their double Ls and Ys with a schuss sound,

as in a shed or cache instead of ayer or cahier.

But you can also expect to see something that isn't likely featured in your guidebook.

In Buenos Aires, about 6,000 people spend every night on the street.

Fabio Manupeja, or Manu, went from being the breadwinner of a middle-class family

to a scene-deach-o, a homeless person.

It all started when a socio-economic crisis hit Argentina in the 90s,

and Manu lost his job.

When I was working, I learned that I was a part of it.

When I was well, I also finished living in the street.
