In Los Angeles, dozens of people have been arrested.

Police have been using flashbangs and tear gas to clear crowds, and President Donald Trump has deployed the National Guard.

All of downtown L.A. was declared an unlawful assembly area last night, as demonstrators and law enforcement

clashed for a third night in protest of ongoing immigration raids.

For every single minute that we were here resisting against the Border Patrol,

that was time that they were not out deporting people in our community.

But some protesters have been accused of taking advantage of the situation,

with preliminary reports of looting, which L.A. Mayor, Karen Bass, warned against.

When you raid Home Depot and workplaces, when you tear parents and children apart,

and when you run armored caravans through our streets, you cause fear and you cause panic.

Roughly 300 National Guardsmen are on the ground in the city, and it's the first time a president

has called in the force without a state's consent or request in decades.

Bass has criticized the move alongside California's governor Gavin Newsom, who says he'll file

a lawsuit against the Trump administration.
