Summary

0:23.0	A few nights ago, I was watching television.
0:26.0	I'm not going to tell you what show.
0:28.0	Fine, I will tell you what show.
0:30.0	It was Station 11 on HBO.
0:32.0	It's a show about a fictional global pandemic.
0:37.0	And there's this scene in the first episode where it's not even a major scene or anything.
0:42.0	But there's a doctor, an ER doctor.
0:44.0	She exits a room and goes into a hall in the hospital and she takes off her mask.
0:49.0	And then she starts coughing.
0:51.0	She has a coughing fit.
0:52.0	And just for like a split second, I got very mad because I was like a doctor in a hospital,
0:59.0	like not wearing a mask coughing.
1:01.0	And then I just got confused because I was like, wait, wait a second.
1:03.0	Like when did they shoot this?
1:04.0	Was this shot during the actual global pandemic?
1:07.0	I just got confused in a way.
1:10.0	Like my brain short circuited.
1:12.0	And the place it took me to, exactly to this old radio lab episode from 2015 called La Mancha Screwjob,
1:20.0	which is about this very thing, the way that kind of reality sort of pokes into fiction and changes the way we see it.
