Growing up in Bamako, the capital of Mali, Jenner Buu dantes' favorite subject was by far Jim

Class.

In middle school, she excelled at basketball and her gym teachers wanted her to take up track

and field, fair de l'atletisme.

They said she was made for it, but Jenner Buu's mother didn't like that idea.

My mother was worried about me. She thought that if I made the right of the accolade, I would have less time for school.

My family thought that running was not a priority in life of a girl.

My mother was afraid that I should be too muscular, too strong, and that I don't find Mary.

At first, Jenner Buu listened to her mother. She didn't take up running.

But when she turned 15 and enrolled in high school, the PE teacher signed her up to run in

the competition at the Atletisme, a track and field event.

Jenner Buu didn't think her mother would approve of the competition, so she didn't tell her.

She didn't want to lose this opportunity to be seen and to test herself against other runners.

She knew she was good, but she wanted to be great.

She wanted to win the Mid-Aidor Gold medals.

I didn't know why, but in my head I told myself that I was the best. I wanted to win. My dream was to wear an uniform with the normal and bad shoes.

I wanted to win a Mid-Aidor for my country. I told myself, this race is my chance.
