Kylie, I have to imagine it's a busy, busy day for you guys. Tell us all about it. Yeah,

absolutely. I feel like it's been more of a busy weekend. Not only are we plowing, but preparing for

all the snow that we are still receiving.

It is forecasting to be a busy day for us.

Our plows are still out.

They've been out since, yes, about 24 hours ago.

So it's been a busy day, but we're hoping to wrap things up soon and start to get into post-clean-up operations.

So tell me, Kylie Kramer, from NDOT joining us.

What is Indot's general strategy for clearing snow and ice from the highways during these winter storms?

Yeah, absolutely. Every single winter storm is so unique. And this one,

we've had plenty of time to get a notice, which is very helpful. But this one, we were looking

at the snow dropping 12 inches and then it went down to 6 inches. And, you know, it's still snowing

now.

So who knows what we've got out there?

But for that, we have been prepping the roads with salt and brine.

That's just to ensure that the snow isn't turning into ice when we see that drop in freezing temperatures.

So with that, now we are just plowing, structurally plowing, because we're just trying to get that snow off the roads and maintain those roads.

Yeah.

How do you guys prioritize which roadways you choose first?
