Her name is Deshana Spencer. But before I get to Deshana, I wanted to talk about something

that's been bothering me. The most recent attempt by Republicans to undermine our democracy

and still an election. In case you missed it on Tuesday, the Wayne County

Michigan Board of Canvassers, the local election board of Michigan's largest county responsible for certifying the county's election results

sought to oppose the certification of the county's election results. You know the one where all the black folk live in Detroit.

They eventually realized they were being assholes and they reversed their decision and

the results were certified.

And just when there were theories floating around that the state's Republican-led legislature would place Trump-Fendly electors

in place to further undermine the results in Michigan by casting Michigan's Electoral College

votes for Trump.

Republican Senate Majority Leader Mike Shurkey killed the idea.

But what if State Senator Shurkey were like the Republicans on the Wayne County Board of

canvassers? And that's my issue. The Electoral on the Wayne County Board of Canversers.

And that's my issue.

The Electoral College should be abolished for a million reasons,

and this election is stress testing the guardrails on our democracy.
