KVJ cuts. Okay, what do you think is right in this situation? Have you ever dealt with a picky kid when it comes to eating Virginia?

Oh yes, all the time, every day, it's my life. And what do you do?

It's super frustrating.

I have to try to get creative and introduce new foods.

I don't know if this will work for every kid but I

incorporate him now into the cooking part and he'll try more stuff if he is

the chef.

So he then wants to try and eat his own food that he's created.

Yes.

I incorporate him into the grocery store helping pick stuff out new options different

options and then make him help me prepare it.

We got an email here from this mom that's having a hard time with her kid eating and she came up with the concept that her sister absolutely hates and says you're going to give him some kind of condition if you continue doing this.

She's got a six-year-old boy and she'll have him sit at the table to eat.

She says he does eat, but he takes the tiniest bites and then never finishes.

It could be an hour and he would still be just picking at his food.

So to speed him up a bit, I've tried using a table timer with a 30 minute countdown and when dinner is over,'s over at that point I take the food

away and it's just gone usually goes in the garbage and my sister is appalled by

this she says what I'm doing could create so many eating disorders and

unneeded stress. What do you think about this? Am I creating an eating disorder in

my six-year-old son by doing this? I mean if he's sitting there and he's still eating he's just taking a long time to eat
