We start with you, Virginia, and I'm going to ask you, where do we get the term, lazy Susan,

for the rotating serving tray? Where does that come from?

Well, back in the 1800s, there was this chick, a Susan Mathifer.

And the Mathifer family was very highfalutin.

And they had this one daughter.

And, you know, there's always one black sheep and it

was Susan. And Susan Mathifer would never get off her ass for anything. She wouldn't do nothing

around the house. And then when it came to be dinner time, she wouldn't even get up to grab a bowl of

food from the other end of the table. Susan. So they built this round, wooden thing that you could spin with the food on it.

So lazy Susan didn't have to get up.
