Summary

Kristan Hawkins has been preparing for a post-Roe America for 16 years. For her, the Supreme Court decision Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade was surreal.  Hawkins leads the pro-life organization Students for Life, which seeks to educate young Americans on the issue of abortion.  Waking up Saturday, Hawkins estimated "over 400 children ... would be spared" already that morning because the high court had overruled its 1973 decision legalizing abortion across the nation. She joins the “Problematic Women” podcast to discuss the future of the pro-life movement and how students can be a voice for society's most vulnerable population.  Enjoy the show! Hosted on Acast. We are continuing to just sort of like throw one big party here on Problematic Women in the wake of Roeby Wade being overturned. It's still in some ways, like I feel like you just sort of stop every now and then and you're like, wow, we're in a post-road world. That really happened. We're living in a post-row world. So we're continuing to celebrate that today by talking to one of the leaders, really, in the pro-life movement. Kristen Hawkins as the president of students for life. And for the past 16 years, she says, like, she's been planning for a post-roar-world. She's been waiting for this moment and really empowering students in the role that they can play. And I think, you know, even in looking at, like, who was at the court on Friday when it was overturned among the pro-life crowd? It was young people. It was students. Like, they're the future. Yeah, a lot of students for life members were there. Exactly. And I know, like, so many of you listening, your students, you're in school, your recent grads, and you're kind of asking that question of like, okay, how can I be involved on my campus in furthering life, in my community. So Christian is joining us today
