What you know, alibiers. Welcome to another episode of Pretty Lies and Alibis. I'm Gigi. Good to have you here. It's Monday, October 13th.

0:08.1

Big day for those of you that have followed the Dan Markell case at 3 Eastern. We have Donna Adelson's sentencing, and I'll be running that live on the YouTube channel.

So come watch with the alibiers. I have a few brief updates today in the Corey Richens case,

0:24.0

some new filings there, as well as Mark Sanchez. So let's jump in. Just a reminder, in November

0:30.2

of last year, the judge ordered the prosecution to separate some of those financial charges

0:35.2

that Corey is charged with from the murder case. Those severed

0:38.8

charges were two second degree felony mortgage fraud charges and two third degree felony forgery

0:45.4

charges. Back in June of this year, prosecutors just threw those in with the 26 new financial

0:51.5

charges. I did an episode on that. If you haven't heard it, I'll link that in the

0:55.8

description. So there have been amended charges filed against Corey. Two counts of insurance fraud,

1:01.9

which is a second degree felony, as well as forgery, which is a third degree felony, are now

1:07.4

tied in with the murder case. However, she is no longer facing drug distribution charges.

1:13.5

Also, Corey's attorneys have filed a motion to get the Eric Richens Living Trust's financial

1:18.6

activities.

1:19.8

Back in 2023, the Eric Richens Living Trust sued Corey for more than $13 million.

1:25.8

They're also asking for all revenues generated from the sales

1:29.5

of that children's book on grief that she wrote after Eric's death, and they asked for an injunction

1:35.0

barring future sales of that book. Just a reminder, Corey did not know that Eric had established

1:41.1

the trust and gave control of that to his sister Katie Richens Benson.

1:45.7

Corey's attorneys are now asking the court to compel his sister Katie, who represents that estate

1:50.4

to comply with the subpoena that's been previously served. The motion says her retained counsel

1:55.9

objected and refused to comply with the multiple requests contained within the subpoena.
