Summary
Even a Knicks hater had to admit it: watching New York go into Philadelphia and smack the Sixers around was flat out fun. And save the “Embiid didn’t play” talk, because that is the story of the Sixers. If your whole plan hinges on a guy who never seems available, you are not a real postseason threat.
The Knicks deserved credit for showing up tough in the final game before the All Star break, with Jose Alvarado bringing edge and the whole team playing more physical, more direct, and way less whiny. But the bigger question is the one Knicks fans have been living with all season: this team looks capable of being great, and also capable of the most annoying letdown losses imaginable.
So with the break here, the guys make a one day only exception and do the Mike Brown vs Tom Thibodeau temperature check. Do you feel better, worse, or the same about the Knicks right now, and what do you make of the inconsistency heading into the stretch run?

| 0:00.0 | Even I have to admit, as someone who's not fond of the New York Knicks, last night there |
| 0:07.1 | was something fun about that. |
| 0:09.2 | Any time you go to Philadelphia and you spank that ass, the way the Knicks spank the Sixers, |
| 0:17.8 | and I don't want to hear that Joe L&B didn't play because honestly, that's |
| 0:21.5 | the issue with the Sixers. The biggest problem with the Sixers, the biggest reason I would |
| 0:26.1 | not fear the Philadelphia 76ers or even look at them as a real threat to knock the Knicks |
| 0:30.9 | off in the postseason is that he is injury prone, never reliable. And whether it's a game |
| 0:36.6 | on February 11th or a game in late |
| 0:38.6 | April or early May, Joe M.B. doesn't play. So I don't want to hear it as an excuse. The New York |
| 0:43.7 | Knicks, to their credit, in the final game before the All-Star break, where they easily could |
| 0:47.8 | have taken a vacation, from top to bottom, whip that Philadelphia ass. They even show toughness with Alvarado getting in my boy Trenton Watford's face. It was just all around, I got to hand it to you. It was all around a good night if you're a Knicks fan. Yeah, even Kat probably heard us talking about him last night. Yep. Go through contact, got to the rim, didn't bitch and moan about it, just play hard-nosed basketball, which is what |
| 1:11.6 | you expect from this team. |
| 1:13.1 | But again, this is, you could have seen this coming from a mile away. |
| 1:16.7 | This is what Mike Brown's teams feel like this year. |
| 1:20.0 | At some point, you're going to get these confounding letdown games against opponents who they |
| 1:24.5 | have no business losing to, like the Indiana Pacers, like the Sacramento Kings, |
| 1:28.9 | whenever that was three weeks ago, two or three weeks ago. And then they turn around and then |
| 1:33.2 | they destroy the other inferior opponent. Like the Brooklyn Nets. Yes. Like the 76ers without |
| 1:39.3 | Joel and B. This team is potentially great, but also so grossly inconsistent. |
| 1:46.3 | It's frustrating for a fan. |
| 1:47.5 | Yeah, and a lot of what you said, I do want to get into, and I want to ask for just one day only, a one day only favor. |
| 1:55.2 | Because I do believe in sports when we move on from people, whether it's athletes or coaches, we talk about it, and then we move on. |
