All right, we're going to have a little baseball fun as we start the new week here at Kevin Keatsman has issues.

Ryan Lefevre will join us in just a little bit.

We'll do a spring training preview for you as we're just a little over two weeks away from starting the Royals season.

I think it's interesting to note we really haven't talked about this spring.

The A's and the Rays this year in the American League are both playing in minor league ballparks.

Tampa had the stadium damaged by the hurricane, but it's a piece of garbage anyway, and they've been trying to build a stadium for 20 years in Tampa and don't have one.

I think they're going to be playing a lot of their games where the Yankees train there in the Tampa area and some other places.

The A's have moved to Sacramento, and they're playing in a AAA park.

They're in no man's land in Oakland. They're building a new stadium in Las Vegas.

So they're caught in between and they're playing in a minor league ballpark.

And the reason we bring this up is Major League Baseball is trying to put a good face on this by saying, well, you know, these are quaint ballparks.

It's a way to see your team closer and more personal.

And that's true because we're experiencing that in spring training. We went to Scottsdale on Saturday and saw the Royals and the Giants play in maybe the

single best major league intimate setting you could ever see at the old Scottsdale ballpark there.

And it is an oldie but a goody in Old Town Scottsdale. It's very cool. But you don't think of the Major League season like that, and they're putting lipstick on a pig.

But I bring this up because the Royals have been in No Man's Land for three years, which I guess in the circles of building a facility is not really No Man's Land.

You're kind of just getting started to the edge of No Man's Land when you're three years in and you have nothing,

you've got a vote that's failed, you've got City Hall in Jackson County kicking it down the road.

The owner seems to be fairly happy and makes it sound like he's close to something. That almost

has to be Kansas at this point because there is desperation on the Missouri side with the Royals
