Commonwealth and one thing it means is that you have a king and the king right

now is ill however he's recovering and he hopes to be recovered fully for June 15th, the

trooping of the color. Gregory, you talked about it the last time. The King is

hoping to attend, perhaps not on horseback, perhaps on the stand, or in a carriage.

What is the significance of it in the kingdom?

Well, it's a very important highlight because it's on the sovereign's formal or official

birthday which is not the actual date on which they were born but it was a chosen at a good time of the year in summer to celebrate and to make

a show of the prestige of the crown.

So June 15th has been for the last 100 or so years the date of this, the Queen's birthday

or the King's birthday and the tripping of the color is done by so each year a different

regiment within the household division gets to parade its color. Now this is an ancient right if you like which is designed to

show all of the troops what your battle standard your colors are so that you can follow them in battle.
