We mentioned that Anne, in an accident involving question affairs, I don't have any details,

has been hospitalized and will not make the visit to Canada that was scheduled toward the end of this week.

That was alarming to read at the same time.

Charles is hesitating or has been asked to hesitate in his visit to the South Pacific, he was going to call it Australia, he's the King of Australia, as

Gregory has taught me, he's also the King of New Zealand, and he's going to, what is it, Samoa

Gregory to be with the heads of government of the Commonwealth.

Right now the New Zealand leg is cut out because we're told that the Queen has requested

him not to over commit himself in his recovery from cancer.

So all of this is the medical report and then we come to the happy news of the day because the Emperor of Japan, a royal visit to Great Britain.

The Emperor of Japan attended Oxford.

He's very sentimental about drinking tea. It's all wonderful.

And I watched a little of the parade, the horse guards parade.

They turned out, you know, the men with bearskin caps, hats.

They were out and the band was playing and the Emperor and all of the

officials have their swords out. It was a beautiful day, Gregory. Now the

Emperor of Japan, I note that this was a ferocious battle between the British Empire and the Japanese

Empire.

Is all that now over the edge nobody talks about it anymore?

It's still a matter of concern in Britain.

Well the the recent unpleasantness as we used to call it is definitely behind us.

Even for Australia, which was right in the middle of it, of course to a greater extent on the ground
