This is CBS I In The World. I'm John Bebsh with Quirkery Coply, my friend and colleague,

0:39.7

editor and publisher of Defense and Foreign Affairs. He is on Australia National, therefore,

0:44.4

part of the Commonwealth. I am an American National and outside the Commonwealth, but I observe.

0:50.6

And the coronation is momentary on Saturday in London. The ceremony will be elaborate. However,

0:58.8

we have other information coming in about the king that is fresh to me. This is CBS news reporting

1:05.2

that if you add up all of the property and artwork and automobiles and assumptions of debt,

1:14.0

the king at his coronation is said to be worth $2.3 billion. Strikingly, however,

1:21.2

the vast numbers there are real estate, such as the Duchy of Lancaster, which is worth $820 million.

2:06.5

He has a stamp collection, racehorses, and artwork. Again, not saleable at $190 million.

2:12.8

The only thing I could see him moving easily would be his collection of rules,

2:17.6

voices, and bentleys, and other vehicles for $8 million. But even then, there would be a great

2:24.1

protest. So, is it understood in the Commonwealth that the king is an ordinary well-to-do man,

2:30.9

not one of the earth's billionaires? Well, I think money, as you say, plays very little role

2:37.9

in what King Charles has to do and will have to do. He's stuck with the infrastructure, which,

2:44.9

as you say, he can't sell. That's face of 2.8 billion pounds or so. And I believe it's much more than
