As you probably know, we build the Scotland Outdoors podcast from the live programme we do for BBC Radio Scotland, which is called Out of Doors.

This week, it may be a very elusive species, but I was lucky enough to see a nightjar up in the north-east of Scotland.

Hello, and a very good morning to you.

Just across the other side of the fence here in the car park in Beach Grove, Aberdeen.

There's a very nice cherry tree, just a gine, a wild one.

But I was down in Glasgow last week and I was up this avenue.

I can't remember where it was.

But they had the pink ones.

Now, I know they're not actually local.

I know they're not actually natural or, you know,

but whatever, but the drifts of the pink blossom on the ground

were just beautiful.

Really lovely to see.
