In January 2022, the body of Boston police officer John O'Keefe was found in the snow outside of his friend's home.

Prosecutors allege his girlfriend Karen Reed hit O'Keefe with her SUV after a night of

drinking and then left him in the snow to die.

Defense attorneys claim that O'Keefe was beaten inside of the home,

tossed outside in the snow, and that Karen Reed

is the target of an elaborate cover-up.

So as your honor was telling you, this is one of the two opportunities that I will get to

to address.

The first of which right now essentially what I'm going to attempt to do and I know you heard over the course of the impairment process a number of different witnesses that were listed out as far as potential witnesses in this case.

So what my intent here is to provide as much of a road map as I can through those waters

and help me to navigate sort of who these people are and what relation they have to escape.
