Summary

Kilian Korth is a pro trail runner and coach most known for his recent dominance of the 200-mile distance. In 2025, Kilian won the Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, and the Moab 240 in a four month span, shattering the cumulative record for the Triple Crown of 200s by more than five hours. He's become viewed as a leader and pioneer in the discipline, rigorously documenting and sharing his learnings from this still nascent competitive sub-category of the sport. Of course, I am your loving host, Dylan Bowman, here today with Killian Corth, the king of 200

0:19.7

milers, is finally on the show,

0:22.1

and I'm excited to share the conversation for those who don't know.

0:25.3

Killian was one of the major stories of 2025, racing and winning three different 200-mile

0:30.3

events in the span of less than four months, the Tahoe 200 in June, Bigfoot 200 in August,

0:36.4

and the Moab 240 in October. Doing so, Killian also

0:40.2

smashed the existing record for the triple crown of 200s. That is the cumulative time across

0:46.4

those three races. He is in some ways becoming the figurehead of the 200-mile discipline, which is

0:52.8

probably the fastest growing subcategory

0:55.2

of the sport. And while all those accomplishments are incredibly impressive, Killian

1:00.5

was not recognized in either Trail Runner of the Year or Ultra Runner of the Year at the

1:05.9

end of 2025, leading many to feel that his accomplishments were not being properly respected by the trail

1:13.8

and ultra running community, something that brought Killian and I together for the talk and that

1:18.8

we discuss at length in the episode.

1:21.4

Overall, I have grown to really appreciate Killian, and it was awesome to get to know

1:26.3

a bit better here on the show. Some topics

1:28.9

we discuss his journey into trail and ultra running, the rise of 200 mile races generally. We

1:34.7

talk about philosophy and spirituality as maybe performance enhancers in some way. We talk

1:41.0

about strength training and interval training, the roles they play in 200 mile prep.

1:45.6

Talk about overcoming early challenges and DNF experiences, how they shaped him into the great

1:50.8

athlete he's become.
