0:40.1	Black women rock. Yes, we do.
0:43.1	That's a mighty title. How did that title come about and how did you end up getting that position?
0:49.1	Well, I started my career actually in finance, believe it or not.
0:53.1	And I did that for about 21 years.
0:56.1	But the last few years I managed the Bank of America sponsorship with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
1:02.1	So that got me into sports and sports philanthropy.
1:05.1	And I did that job pretty good.
1:07.1	And when Jeannie Bus was looking for someone to oversee the Lakers Foundation,
1:11.1	she called the Dodgers. The Dodgers referred me.
1:14.1	I got a call on on Monday and by Friday I had a whole new career.
1:17.1	I mean, someone who grew up in South Central LA, what did that mean?
1:21.1	I mean, Dodgers is probably a cool opportunity, but there's nothing like the Lakers.
1:25.1	What did it mean to you, a girl coming from LA to be a black woman coming into this position,
1:31.1	but just the prestige of the Lakers?
1:33.1	I mean, I grew up a huge Lakers fan.
1:36.1	Right.
1:37.1	My family is all LA all day long.
1:39.1	So I'm from South Central LA born and raised.
