Hello and welcome to a special Blood Red Podcast. I'm Paul Relock and yesterday I was

delighted to be joined by someone who's become a regular on our

podcasts over the years and that is author, broadcaster and University of

Liverpool lecturer Kiran K lecturer Karen McGuire.

As anyone who follows Karen's Twitter feed or listens to his excellent price of football

podcast will know, he does have a lot of media commitments.

And given what's come out over the last few days from reports that

Liverpool's owners FSG are to go into business with Moneyball pioneer Billy

Bean and put their company on the stock market to the decision to charge

Liverpool and Premier League fans 14 pound 95 for pay-per-view matches

and to the revelation that Liverpool and Manchester United are offering their support to

Rick Perry's Project Big Picture proposals. I started by asking Karen if his day was a

particularly busy one. The Blood Red Podcast from the Liverpool Echo.

That's right it all actually kicked off yesterday. I was I was down the down the park feeding the ducks with my granddaughter and

the call started coming through so we had to abandon the ducks which was a tragedy

but it's been non-stop since then yeah well we were originally set up this

podcast didn't we on Fridays because news came out that Liverpool's owners FSG potentially listening to the company on the stock market and we will come

to that but what kind of ruined your day off yesterday

you imagine was project big picture and the plans that have come out and given everyone

to talking about them at the moment it does feel like we should start there.
