So we are chatting all about kid birthdays on this episode.

Big topic. It is a big topic. A lot of you have

asked us about this. We have many a thought. So it requires a whole episode. So from the Pinterest

worthy to the simple traditions to the things we just plain opt out of when it comes to celebrating

the birth of our children, this should be fun. So first, let's walk down memory lane a little bit as we like to do.

How were your birthdays celebrated as a kid growing up?

Well, let's see.

I remember, I think, when I was younger, you know, probably through kindergarten first grade,

having the big friend parties at home.

Okay.

My parents' house where I grew up where they

still live, have a really big backyard. And having a December birthday in Texas often, you know,

could be, could be mild enough to do like some outside time or, you know, just hang out inside.

So just kind of remember that.

My mom does tell a story of how she learned that you always buy the birthday girl a party
