massive trade went down yesterday just days before free agency frenzy begins. This time on the

defensive side of the ball, three-time all-pro Khalil Mack will join the Chargers. Ooh, that's scary with

him and Bosa in the AFC. Welcome Russell Wilson to the party. What do you got? Here,

Paul. Calil Mac fits the Chargers scheme better than he fits what the new Bears scheme is going to be.

So the bear saying, well, let's save ourselves some cash. I believe it's $17 million this year and $6 million or so on the cap by making this trade. And the Chargers are saying, well, we've got a rookie quarterback. I'm not a rookie quarterback, a quarterback on a rookie deal. Very different story. Who's playing out of his mind. This could be our window to hit it. We've seen it with teams before. when you get the young guy playing well, this is our chance to really go after it at other positions. So that is exactly what the Chargers are doing. And I spoke to Daniel Jeremiah last day. He does the Chargers broadcast. He also does some stuff here on the NFL network. You may or may not have seen in here. Stuff. Stuff. And he said to me, he says, everybody's going to focus on the pass rush.

Kaleo Mack getting after the passer. He is one of the best edge setters when it comes to

stopping the run. Which is something the Chargers need. It was a problem for the Chargers,

K Adams, as you're well aware. So this is more than just, oh, Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa getting

after the passer. This is a complete player that when he is healthy and he had a foot injury

last year, but they believe he's going to be healthy. When he's healthy, he can be that complete

player for this defense. I love that. So just days after Russell Wilson heads to the Broncos,

Khalil Mack joins the Chargers in the same division,

major upgrades all around.

How does it shake up in your head as far as the hierarchy of the AFCS?

Remember, I said the Broncos saying it was the most well-rounded

because the Chargers had a terrible defense saying to add to that really sort of changed

and swung in their direction a bit yesterday.

Well, I think that the big guy on the mountain, I have to still go with the Chiefs. I think the Chiefs are still a good team. They still have that crown. They kind of own that division, even though you add all these different pieces. And I did say that the Broncos will a championship. You were excited. This year, coming up, I just feel like you still got to dethrone them.

I mean, they still have Patrick Mahones and all his weapons.
