Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the New York Post, to guide us to the Farm Show and especially

to the threat right now to family farms to all of the grocery stores in Pennsylvania and

beyond. Avian Flu. Selena, a very good evening to you. I did not know it was at this scale.

In one of your interviews, I'm informed that Avian Flu is a threat no matter what direction

you're looking in, to your flock, your chicken flock, explaining why the price of eggs is

so high. But the threat that got my attention was snow geese, Canadian snow geese flying

overhead, threatened the flock. That happens routinely here in the fall. I'd always looked

at it as a marvel of nature. Now I see that what it means in Pennsylvania is fear. What

is the Avian Flu doing to the farmers? Good evening to you, Selena. Good evening. Thanks

so much for having me on. Well, I mean, there's, there's, it's hard to imagine any person,

not young, the impact of the egg prices. We're used to spending under $2 a dozen. Now they're

seven to $10 a dozen. And of course, it's no matter where you are in life, it's impacting

your diet. Eggs are a very simple way to get protein, but they're a staple and almost

everything that you bake and you cluck. And so the consumer has really been feeling the
