The new governor of the Keystone State, Pennsylvania is Josh Shapiro.

He's from Montgomery County. That's the eastern part of the state.

I'm from Montgomery County, so I'm keen on his governorship

and the first 100 days making very clear his intentions for the next several years.

A person who attended remarks about the first 100 days is my colleague, Salina Zito,

of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the Washington Examiner, and the New York Post.

We have very carefully watched Josh Shapiro's first 100 days turning on in Harrisburg,

but you attend a conversation that he had with the Pennsylvania State Police,

who are a vivid part of my youth.

I remember them in Valley Forge. I remember them along the highway when they were building the interstate.

The Pennsylvania State Police, and he addressed them in a hotel I believe in Gettysburg.

The surprising fact that you reveal in your interview is that this was the first time in what,

more than six years, that a governor had addressed the state police.

Is there an explanation for this? Because the state police leadership was clearly delighted with Governor Shapiro.
