To Salinasito, the Washington Examiner of the Wall Street Journal,

the weekend for the Harris campaign is Allegheny County. Why?

What is Allegheny County to the presidency? We're told repeatedly now by no less than

Carl Rove and Mr Mr Silver of the Silver Report that

Pennsylvania is the important state for the winner of the 2024 election. In January we will

inaugurate the candidate who won Pennsylvania. Salina, a very good evening to

you. What is Alleghenyheny County why is the Harris campaign

spending the weekend there given all the other swing states good evening to you good

evening so uh... vice president uh... Harris will be in the city of Pittsburgh for the next five days.

She is, they're telling everyone it's for debate prep and she would do quote voter engagement end quote.

So what does Harris get out of this?

Well being in the Western part of the state is trying to, you know, signal to voters that she cares about the Western part of the state.

Now, she will not win any of the counties that surround Allegheny County,

but what she's trying to aim for are those suburban men and women in the outer parts of Allegheny

County and try to increase her margins there.

But, Ellington County is always going to go Democrat,

but it's all about the margins in Allegheny County.

So, Biden did very well in Allegheny County in 2020. However, in the local

municipal election just last year, a Republican almost won the county for the county executive race for the

first time in decades and so there has been a movement back to Republicans in those outer suburbs.
