I welcome Selina Zetel of the Washington examiner in the Wall Street Journal, her conversation with the chairman of the Republican National Committee,

a man from North Carolina who is all new to me, and I know something now having read Salina's interview.

Pocketbook, pocketbook, pocket Book is what I heard from Mr. Watley. Is that

elsewhere in the national campaign for the presidency? Good evening to.

Good evening. Thank you so much for having me. You know, Michael

Watley, North Carolina, was the chairman of the North Carolina, a Republican

party, was in the Bush administration, very sort of, you know, how these engineer-type

people are a walking Excel sheet, that's sort of how his brain functions and you know his focus was

on message and getting out every vote in every possible place in L 50 states.

And, you know, he was very adamant in saying none of his job is about him

and all of his job was a focus on the president and getting Republicans

down ballot election as well.

So because of that mindset, he's purely functioning on the message that is focused on what voters care about the most.

And that is on people's

the economy inflation the softening job market that's on people's minds

the inability to be able to buy a home those things are really weighing on the average of

voters mind. Nothing is more fulfilling of the American dream than buying a home
