So John Gruden won a big lawsuit ruling in Nevada yesterday.

The Nevada Supreme Court sided with Gruden in his lawsuit alleging that the NFL leaked

damaging emails to the media before he resigned from the Raiders in 2021.

In their five to two ruling justices did not determine whether or not the League actually

had leaked Gruden's emails, but they found that the League's decision to force his complaint

into arbitration proceedings overseen by Roger Goodell.

The target of Gruden's civil lawsuit

was, quote, unconscionable, closed quote. Here to explain the ruling yesterday and where it goes

from here and then, perhaps, how entertaining it could get down the road for fans of certain teams, including ours,

So explain what happened yesterday and maybe more detail than I just did.

So back about a year and a half ago, there was a motion filed to prohibit the case from going into arbitration.

And in that case, Gruden won. The NFL appealed to what's called a three-judge panel where the entire Supreme Court of Nevada doesn't look at it. Just three judges

look at it. And they actually ruled on behalf of the NFL.

Gruden then appealed to the entire Supreme Court of Nevada,

who ultimately ruled, as you stated, in a five to two decision,

that the request by or the attempt to have the matter be forced arbitration by the NFL

was not binding and unconscionable as they wrote in the in their opinion so what basically

what this means is what would have been a private lawsuit or a private trial where

everything would have been behind closed doors now would, if it's upheld, would be reverted back to a
