This is really the beginning of what we used to call legal tampering.

The two and a half days basically today, tomorrow, and then half the day on Wednesday before

all of these reports about free agents moving on to other teams or resigning with their own

teams. Actually, when they resign with their own teams, they can sign that deal right away.

But the new deals can't be signed officially until the league calendar opens up at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

And there have been instances where we've had reporting in the past on Monday and Tuesday,

and a player's had second thoughts before he has signed the deal.

A lot's going on right now, and let me catch you up to speed on a few of these things.
