What was that situation like all start break I probably helps a little bit but still you know that's super balls out here. Everything's going on. What was that process like it was weird for sure. You hear stories all the time about guys getting trading with their experiences liking. It was really all you know just exactly what they said you know you

just quick turnaround you get up go to the city the next day you try to pack as much stuff as you can. Luckily for me though I wasn't playing so I didn't have to get prepared for a game or anything like that so. Yeah you got to just a quick turnaround you know you in one city and then the next day you're in another city living the whole you know try to live the same life you know so it's this part of business man it's part of it and you know just hundreds over hundreds of players I got traded before and I've heard so many stories so.

You know they kind of match up with what I went through yeah I came and seen you because it's like it was that quick yeah you're gonna be gone yeah and you were just like a role in so many things you got great team obviously but there's a lot of things still to handle in New York yeah yeah it happens so fast like you said the last four years I feel like we've been on the ground just building the family building that just infrastructure in New York and you know something that I don't

know from there and I still can sustain you know so yeah it was a lot to leave behind but stepping into some new I'm excited about looking forward to being back on the west Coast

planning the Western conference again so yeah it should be should be fun so let's talk about it a little bit because I

didn't a lot of misconceptions and it's you know from the inside looking out and I think people feel like you were always on your

out and I know just on our day to day and just how locked in everything was with the team with the

gang we have at the crib with everybody like this wasn't how you saw things going this this came

out of nowhere. Yeah it did come out of nowhere for sure. Yeah like I said before like I said in the

press conference we were locked in to the season I felt you know we were building something solid

but yeah this was name of the game name of the league that's what happens you know stuff happens

pretty quickly and try to figure it out so yeah it wasn't something I was planning or doing that

you know all-star break but it just happened that way. And I think people think it was

oh Kyrie is going on out I don't think it was that I think it was bigger than that and then

you know best I could tell you guys can't together rich the team and then kind of figured out a

plan like going forward is yeah that how I broke down for you yeah just yeah figuring out a

plan for the team trying to figure out a plan for the team first and what the team was going to go

you know I had three more years on my contract I'm getting older too so I wanted to figure out

what would it look like I'm going forward and we all sat down and talked about it and we looked

at both sides and said you know this would work for both sides and made it happen. Yeah I think
