Welcome to the Lowest Podcast, where before we bring on the great Kevin Arnovates to discuss

the new look Brooklyn Nets, James Harden and Kyrie Irving and some other interesting trends around

the league. Let's pour one out. Four of the NBA diehard's favorite teams, the Portland

Trailblazer, Sue and the last week have lost two of their three best players to injury.

Yusuf Nercatch has a broken wrist. He's out a couple of months in CJ McCollum, who is absolutely

lighting the world on fire. 27 points a game. That's a career high, five assists a game. That's a

career high on 47% shooting. Lighting the world on fire, suffered a hairline fracture in his foot.

He will be reevaluated in four weeks. And CJ is a fan favorite. He's a favorite of mine.

He has one of the deepest bags of tricks in the entire NBA. Stepbacks, floaters with both hands,

bank shots, tear drops, the guys the trickiest craftiest mid-range player or at least one of them

in the entire league. I still remember him putting a very old Dirk Navitsky on skates and making

him fall over and feeling very bad for Dirk. Look, there's some chance, a good chance that both of

these guys are back well in time for the playoffs and get in shape and all that. They will still see

this peak blazer's team. And look, the blazers are not profiling as a championship contender right

now. They're eight and six. They're 26 and defends. They cannot stop anybody. But we also just

haven't gotten a chance to see anything close to this team. Nercatch took six or seven games to even

look like himself. Cuffington and Derek Jones Jr. in the starting five were just sort of starting

to find themselves are still just starting to find themselves. We haven't seen a ton of chemistry
