you were talking before we started the recording that you're

from a small town in northern Alberta Canada I said oh is it Edmonton which isn't

really a small town but that's the furthest thing now and you're like now an even

smaller town.

The journey that propelled you from there to Harvard.

Yeah, yeah, it was an unexpected journey

and it wasn't even a town.

I mean, we grew up half an hour outside of the small town.

The closest neighbor was about three or four miles away and so yeah just a really

remote area at a small farm and you know a lot of outdoor activities

because there wasn't there wasn't a whole lot else to do.

But you know it was a great place to grow up and you know the path to Harvard was basically

through education. I went to a small undergraduate school in Canada called University of Lethridge, which is in southern Alberta.

And you know at that time my passion I decided anyway at the time was really for teaching.

I really wanted to be a teacher.

Originally I wanted to be a high school teacher.
