93 WIBC. It is the Kendall and Casey show and Rob Casey's here. And you know, Casey was so predictable

0:08.8

that the Republicans would once again let the taxpayers of the state of Indiana down when it comes

0:14.2

to public education. Of course, I'm talking about that partisan school board bill that simply

0:18.4

would have made school board elections like every other election in the state of Indiana. It

0:24.1

died a miserable death yesterday. And well, that's education. And when we talk education,

0:29.2

we go to the drivehubler.com hotline to talk with a good friend, Tony Kenneth, host of the

0:33.3

Tony Kenneth show you can hear it Saturdays. One to three on WIBC. Tony, this was totally

0:38.0

predictable that the Republicans would cave to the angry red shirted teachers. I just didn't think

0:43.9

it would be so fast. What say you? I mean, this is pretty much expected of the Indiana

Senate at this point. I have seen fewer Indiana senators who actually know what's going on in

1:16.9

this means that that settles the matter on the bill. They have no idea what's in the bill. They

1:21.9

simply vote whatever party leadership says and this was one of those cases. Okay, so the bill

1:28.0

was by JD Prescott who is a house rep. He got it out of committee. He made a whole bunch of weird

1:33.2

changes to it. They'd like, oh, you'd have been able to do it via referendum and the schoolwork

1:37.9

had decided or you could decide his attack spare and then he didn't even call it to the floor for a

1:43.6

vote. Why would you not call a bill for a vote that you put all that effort into get out of

1:49.1

committee? Well, two reasons. Number one, because there's not enough votes in the house and there's

1:53.2

definitely not enough votes in the Senate, which was what some of the concerns were in private. But
