Good morning. It is Monday, November 25th.

It is the Kendall and Casey show on 93 WIBC.

Rob Kendall has the day off. And in the studio, we've got Jim Roberts.

It's Daniels and the dude today.

But joining us on the WIBC hotline, we have Rick Snyder.

He is the president of the Indy FOP, serving over 3,000 active and retired

members from 10 different law enforcement agencies in central Indiana.

And Rick, we had to get you on the phone this morning because it was a violent weekend in Indianapolis,

12 hours of shootings on Indies East and South Sides.

Some other media outlets have said the rates of violence were exaggerated. What say you? Well, I think all you have to do is look at the outcomes.

We had over the last 72 hours, 13 people shot, three stabbed, with two killed, tragically.

That's 16 people shot or stabbed, which averages out to be a person shot or stabbed every four and a half hours over the weekend in our capital city. And, you know, as it relates to these other media outlets, I got to tell you, it sickens me when I see them trying to downplay the crime and the violence that's occurring in our city.

We're at record levels, the likes of which we've never seen.

And poor old James Briggs and the Indy Star keep aiming at nothing and hitting it every time when they try to report on this issue.

And the real senseless part in all of this is there's real people involved,

real victims and real families being impacted. And to downplay that at this point in time, I think,
