The coronation of King Charles III happened on Saturday, a historic day.

He was crowned monarch of the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland,

a ceremony steeped in tradition and pageantry.

So I was working at my other job Saturday morning and I had the television on

because I thought, well, while this will be excruciatingly painful to sit through,

I'm going to do that for the goodness of this show so we can have a reasonable

intelligent conversation about this. But first, weren't you struck by the kind of

overall lack of fanfare for this thing? It did seem kind of down.

I mean, in terms of media publicity now, you are a little more seasoned than me.

So you were alive for the Charles Diana wedding, right? Yes.

What was that? 1982? Is that right? I was not. I was not a part of that.

But I'm told that was the biggest thing in the history of ever and there were

a million people who watched it and women wept in the streets and just all sorts of

great events of the 20th century. That would be one of them.

Yes. I was a young girl and I woke up early to watch it.

Now, you would think if a wedding for a group of people who are not the King and Queen

would be that big that then the actual King being coordinated.
