Good morning. It is Wednesday, January 29th. It is six minutes after nine with Kendall and Casey on 93, WIBC. So our new governor delivers his first state of the state speech tonight. The address is set for 7 p.m. Brons team has not laid out expectations for the speech, but he has signed several executive orders in his first three

weeks. Most recently, new rules compelling state law enforcement agencies to assist in federal

agencies in immigration matters. However, we expect that he will concentrate, at least for a

moment, on property tax reform. I may be dead by the end of this show,

Casey, but I was not missing this show today because this is the day. Look, I've waited eight years.

I mean, we finally have, so, so Holcomb was on with Hammer and Nigel yesterday, or Holcomb,

Braun was on with Hammer and Nigel yesterday. Yeah. And it was so refreshing to feel like you had a competent adult in charge of the state.

Now to hear him talk about priority issues, how he works through things, how he's going to solve these issues.

Because for the past 12 years, we have had two children, to disinterested clown children running the state who are interested in the title

of being governor, who are interested in walking around with brigades around them, going to

ribbon cuttings, boosting their profile and not actually effectively running the state. And you have

seen over the past 12 years of Pence and then Holcomb, this state run into the gutter

on a whole bunch of different levels. And you just feel like there's a, there's a new,

there's a new sheriff in charge and things are going to get better.

Let's tell our listeners, you sound worse than what you say you feel.

That's right. I sound, so when you have a 19 month old old it's just a secular cycle of sickness a circle

yeah of one sickness to the next and this one in terms of actual damage is relatively calm like i don't

i mean i'm not coughing up a lung i'm not anything where i was last week i'm'm fine. I just sound, sound bad. I think this is

nothing more than a head cold. But I was not missing work today. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, this is my day.

I mean, this is it. We're finally going to have a robust public display of desire to fix the

property tax system in the state, which has been 15 years in the making.

And so I'm very optimistic about this speech tonight.
