Today, we're going to talk about my favorite subject.

I'm going to talk about my favorite subject. And that subject just happens to be the rapture of the church.

And my guest, Ken Johnson, has written this book, which is very aptly and simply entitled

The Rapture.

Ken, I'm going to enjoy today's conversation.

I can tell you because I enjoy the topic.

Oh, me too.

And I think it is, of course, our blessed hope.

But it's still argued a great deal in the contemporary church.

Yeah, it's amazing.

Now, it's pre-tribulational and we have evidence.

Okay, and my next question would be, what is the evidence?

To start off with, there's this legend that keeps going around

that Darby or someone in Darby's time

started the idea of a secret rapture

and then it wasn't taught before then. But like in the book,

there's a list of several, probably close to 50 people that we mentioned from the 15 to 1700s

that taught a pre-trib rapture. Now that doesn't prove that it's real, but that argument that it was

just invented in the 1700s by Darby is not true because multiple

people talk about it.

You know, Darby was an ingenious man who really was in line to be an Anglican priest and

rather high up in the Anglican church and was a master scholar from Oxford. He was,
