Kelly Ripa has a new memoir out called Live Wire Long-Wended Short Stories and she admits

the chapter about Regis Filben was the hardest one to write.

He passed away of a heart attack in July of 2020 at the age of 88 and she says there

were good and bad days.

I don't want to feel like I'm slamming anyone or that I'm being disrespectful but I also

want people to know it was not a cake walk.

Now despite any issues they had on set, Kelly says she very much enjoyed the time they

spent outside of work.

She said he came to a dinner I hosted one of the favorite nights of my life.

I never laughed so hard.

I loved him and I still do.

I wonder if you if you was just like sort of old school male.

Set in his way.

A former set in his ways, you know, like, oh, what is she really proven?

You know, she's was on the soap opera and blah blah blah.

Now she's hosted with me.

And I'm Regis Filben.

I wonder if he had that attitude.

I mean, maybe I don't know.

Can't say for sure.
