0:44.1	and Senate Republicans increasingly rallied in defense of the embattled Supreme Court
0:48.6	nominee. Lawyers for the woman, Christine Blasy Ford, said a full investigation by law enforcement officials
0:56.0	will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a nonpartisan matter,
1:01.8	and that the committee is fully informed before conducting any
1:04.9	hearing or making any decisions. The committee had invited Kavanaugh and Ford to
1:10.1	testify together at a public hearing on Monday without checking to see if that worked for her first.
