And now, Kathy Lee Gifford talks to Lucy.

Hey, I want to throw some impromptu questions at you.

Oh, I love it.

Fantastic.

What is your idea of the ideal home life?

My idea of a perfect day at home would be a rainy day watching reruns of I Love Lucy,

one of my all-time favorites, or just putting on music that I love and I don't get

the chance to spend a lot of time with, like my friend Nancy Lamott and her amazing

renditions of the American songbook. Or else my own CDs, let me be honest, I have 16 of them,

and I'm the only person in the world who loves to listen to them.

But, you know, it reminds me of the good times when I could sing like a bird. So yeah, sad but true.

I'd love to spend a day listening to myself. Sad, isn't it? That's just pathetic.

Tell me, have you been happy being a working mother?

I never dreamed that I would end up being a mother.

And by the time I was, I didn't know anything but work.

So it wasn't even an option for me to think about it.

I found out that I was pregnant with my son Cody.

You would have thought it was Little Ricky all over again.

People got so excited.

But it never dawned on me to stop working.

I had a cesarean section, and five weeks later, he was in the studio with me.
