Karen Reed trial just before about 4 p.m. today for the third time in a row the jurors came back, sent the judge a note, this time incredibly

eloquently written, and just told the judge that they were hopelessly deadlocked at which point the

honorable Beverly Canoni declared a mistrial and she did not seem happy about

having to do this after nine plus weeks of testimony and over 70 expert witnesses.

The Commonwealth has already declared that they are going to try this case again and according to Massachusetts

law must do so within a year, meaning by July 1st of 2025.

He is retired.

He's the man that looks like a retired judge leaning back in that comfortable chair.

He was the first justice of the Massachusetts

Middlesex County Juvenile Court Division

prior to his 24-year judicial career.
