Summary

What happens when an alleged crime, a controversial documentary, and a blogger with a God complex all collide in the middle of a snowstorm and a blackout memory?

In this chillingly bizarre look at the case surrounding the death of Boston police officer John O’Keefe, Tony Brueski and retired FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke sift through the word salad, contradictions, and courtroom chaos that surround alleged killer Karen Read. From her hazy recollection of the night John died — somewhere between "Did I hit him?" and "I know I didn’t" — to her overly casual tone discussing a man’s death, it’s hard to tell if we’re watching a defense or an audition for a reality show.

And if the facts weren't twisted enough, things get even messier when Karen admits to having regular contact with blogger Aidan Kearney (aka Turtleboy), who’s been busy waging war on anyone who dares to question her innocence — from online harassment to stalking witnesses at their kids’ lacrosse games. What could possibly go wrong when the court of law is competing with the court of public opinion... and a blogger with a fanbase?

Is this a genuine quest for justice or just one big narcissistic circus?
