An entitled co-worker training to work at my restaurant tries to throw me under the bus as her trainer

for not training her properly on doing her job. But after dealing with her awful attitude, as well as her

entitled behavior, I decided that enough was enough as I went out of my way to expose this lady

for the lazy jerk that she truly was. Here's what happened. Okay, for a bit of context. I'm a 20-year-old female

and I worked at a semi-fine dining steak place as a lead trainer and a server. One of my trainees,

let's call her Karen, was 22 years old and had no experience at all. And this is fine. I'm totally

down to teach anybody. She was great in the beginning, and she just needed to work on her hospitality. She

shadowed me for the first day before she was allowed to give it a go. I have to be tied at the

hip with my trainee, basically, and Karen absolutely hated this. By the third shift, we were swapping,

pitching to tables, and I was giving her constructive criticism very softly, since I could tell

that she would take it to heart. I had to explain to her

that I need to follow her everywhere, maybe except for the bathroom, of course, and she told me,

I can do this job, it is not that hard, just leave me alone. And then she bolted away. I found her

again and softly explained why I needed to be by her. She then scoffed and ran off to the bathroom.

During this time, we do

surveys if the customers would like to say their input on the trainees. So I talked to a table

that I had, and they said that she was extremely rude to them when I wasn't around, and that half

of our stuff came out really late. Now, when I heard this, I apologized, and I told them that I

would be taking over their service, and then I just moved on.

Once Karen left the bathroom, I spoke to her about what the table said.

And she responded by saying, it is not my fault other servers won't run my food.

And it's not my fault that the table didn't know what they wanted.
